Hooray!

Kyle had his two week check today and he weighed in at 7 pounds 3 ounces! A full 3 ounces above his birth weight! Praise the Lord! Thank you all for your prayers! We don't have to wake him up any more to eat, he gets to decide when he's hungry, which is good. He also passed his hearing screen in his right ear (he failed it twice in the hospital) so that was great. He had a hip ultrasound in 2 weeks to check on a hip click they are detecting. Since he was breech they want to make sure it is not due to a deformity in the socket. On Tuesday we saw the endocrinologist. His thyroid levels are starting to come down, which is a good thing. One in 4,00 cases, though, are due to having only half a thyroid, so he has an ultrasound scheduled in a week and a half to check that out. So with one more round of blood work, a thyroid ultrasound, a hip ultrasound, and an appointment with the endocrinologist we should be on our way to a happy, healthy boy. Thank you all for praying--keep it up! ;o)
