In the morning we headed to our church where we watched the parade and enjoyed the "Fabulous Fouth at the First"--each year our church (First Baptist of Wheaton) holds a free event with food, moon jumps, balloons, etc. since the church is right on the Wheaton parade route.
Ths kids were not sure about the firetrucks, but did ok until the military people came through and decided to shoot caps from their guns. I spent the next half an hour with them in my lap, unwilling to move. Kyle had a death grip on my arm the whole time. They were just waiting for it to happen again. After a while, they realize the noisy stuff was over and started to enjoy the parade.

After the parade we had a cookout here at our house. It was fun to host our first cookout at OUR house. There were many pictures, but this was the best--Greg the Grillmaster. He did an AMAZING job cooking everyone's meat to order!
